Perpetua Mwangi is a Partner in the firm and heads the Intellectual Property Division of the Commercial Law Department. She pilots Intellectual Property matters with precision, ease and rapidity and her service delivery continues to ensure exemplary satisfaction from our Clients.
She has successfully defended and prosecuted matters before the Registrar of Trade Marks for local and international clients. Her special interest and keenness for Intellectual Property litigation has seen her navigate through uncharted waters having been involved in a geographical indication dispute that was among the first of its kind in Kenya.
She also advises Clients on various Intellectual Property matters and handles the review and drafting of agreements including assignments, licenses, franchising, distribution, non-disclosure and non-compete agreements as well as co-existence agreements.
Perpetua is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya, a registered Trade Mark and Patent Attorney and an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators-Kenya Chapter. She holds a Master of Laws Degree in Intellectual Property Law from the University of Cape Town, a Bachelor of Laws degree from the Catholic University of Eastern Africa and a Diploma in Law from the Kenya School of Law.
