Sylvia Matasi, an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya, holds the position of Senior Associate in the Firm. She is attached to the Civil Litigation Department.
She graduated with a Bachelor of Laws degree from Moi University and a postgraduate Diploma in Law from the Kenya School of Law.
She has experience and interest in Civil and Commercial Litigation, Debt Recovery, Insurance Claims, Probate and Administration, Employment and labour relation Claims, Constitutional Petitions and Intellectual property litigation. She has also handled incorporation of companies, non-governmental organizations and societies.
She has been involved in various landmark cases covering the various judicial bodies including the High Court, Court of Appeal, Registrar of Trademarks and specialized dispute resolution Tribunals .
She was the Lead Counsel in the Winding Up cause of the Pyrethrum Board Superannuation Scheme that was the first Scheme to be wound up by the regulator of Pensions Law in Kenya.
Currently she sits on the Committee of Young Lawyers of the Law Society of Kenya and heads the Education and Moot Court subcommittee.
